About TBE
Where it all began
1971 Kevin Tiggemann began work at Roneo Vickers, Servicing Roneo Duplicators.
1973 Kevin started a sales career in the Business Equipment industry.
1974 Kevin was offered a role as a Photocopier Salesman selling Minolta Photocopiers for Ozapaper.
1976 Kevin was head hunted by Adler Business Machines to establish a Supplies Sales Division.
1978 From the experience he had gained, Kevin decided to establish his own business hence the birth of
Total Business Equipment on the 1st of May 1978 at 242 Gilbert St, Adelaide.
1979 The company moved to larger premises next door, at 244 Gilbert Street.
1988 TBE's 10th anniversary was celebrated by moving to 227 Grote Street, Adelaide in May 1988.
1997 After further success and growth, the next move was to 31 The Parade, Norwood in June 1997, at which time TBE was the exclusive Minolta Dealership in Adelaide and then traded as Minolta Adelaide and supplied all of the award winning Minolta Copiers to the Greater Adelaide Area.
2003 The companies Konica & Minolta merged to form Konica Minolta. As a result, TBE - with the established Minolta Base - was offered the metropolitan dealership, and so the company continued to trade now under the original name Total Business Equipment.
Where are we now
2007 The 1st of July, 2007, was yet another milestone in TBE's history with the move to our current premises, 20 Manton Street, Hindmarsh. This larger 2 storey building is part of a new development with a large showroom and plentiful car parking.
1st May, 2008 will mark Total Business Equipment's 30 year anniversary, making us the longest established, privately owned office equipment company in Adelaide.
The longevity of the business is firstly due to customer service, great quality products and competitive pricing.
